Rewards for good behavior

Over the past few days I have been rewarding myself on my accomplishments so far. A new workout outfit here, a book there, and now the puppy... Scratch that last one, that is Olivia's reward for good behavior.. It's another thing for mommy to pick up after is what this is...

But he is worth it...

I started thinking that I should have some sort of list (surprise surprise!) of rewards for meeting my weight loss goals. This is very motivating for me... not just the list part.. A few things that I could really use in a new camara, a new ipod, some new summer clothes in a size yet to be determined.  Things that I want include a pedicure, a 60 minute massage, horse back riding lessons... So here is my reward list...

250 - Join the gym - Check!

240 - New workout outfits - Check!

230 - Pedicure

220 - 60 minute massage

210 - New Camara

200 - Horseback riding lessons

190 - New Ipod
180 - New Car???
175 - Goal Weight - ????????

I am at a loss for what to do when I reach my goal weight. What will you do when you meet your goal weight?

  1. I was going to get a tattoo, but I never did. I'm thinking about doing something for my 1 year as a lifetime member of weight watchers in April, but I haven't decided yet!

  2. I'll pay for the massage when you reach 220! Now there is incentive!

  3. I want to get a massage with you!
Perhaps I can make that a reward if I lose some weight too :)

  4. Buy a new wardrobe of clothes! You'll need some new clothes to wear with that smaller waist of yours! Maybe an outfit you have always wanted.

  5. These are all great suggestions! A vacation would be amazing but costs a lot of money. We want to save up for disney when Olivia gets a little older so no big vacations in our immediate future.

The new wardrobe sounds great! I actually picked up a pair of "goal" size 18 pants yesterday off the sale rack at Old Navy, for 3 dollars! gosh I love a bargain! Brown low rise boot cut khakis... looking forward to wearing those this spring!

Thanks for the offer mom for the massage! Sounds great and will truly be a motivator for me!

I thought about a reward tattoo as well steph but the older I get the more glad I am that I don't have one yet. Maybe a star or something tastefull... we will see!

  6. A vacation is cheaper than a new car. I used to be like you - I always denied us family vacations because of the cost - now we make it a priority - that quality time with the kids and DH is worth anything.
