A fresh start

I am not sure why it is so hard to get back on track. I have done this before. I know what to do. I know how great I feel when I take care of myself, yet I have continued over this past weekend to ignore my goals. It's frustrating. We have been getting outside more so that is always fun. We have a park close by with walking trails so we plan to visit here a lot more now that the weather is getting nicer!

This weekend we had a great bonfire with friends. It was a lot of fun, and I drank a few beers and had yummy pizza. It was the smores that will get ya though, those things are killer! Especially when you have 5....

 I know! Bad Emily...

We had fun with some extreme marshmallow roasting as well.

And then just plain fun...

Mother's day was great, lots of yard work and Husband made me a stone garden around our cheery tree. I can't wait to fill it in with hostas and bulbs.

Olivia colored me some sweet pictures too. Will gave me some bulbs for mothers day and some chocolate... which is now gone... in my belly.... aaaaaaand we had pizza for dinner again on Sunday night... I love pizza! Especially home made buffalo hot wing pizza, with blue cheese dressing on top... I know, I know! Bad Emily! I wish there was a healthier pizza option that didn't taste like licking a hay bale like the wheat crust does.. Any ideas out there?

After this weekend and all the splurging that occurred, I woke up today really feeling motivated to get back on track. I made it to the gym with Livi, we had a healthy breakfast and a smoothie. Also I am blogging while drinking my water.

12 grain bread with All natural PB, chia seeds and banana... my favorite breakfast!

Mango, strawberry, banana, spinach, carrot, cara cara orange with coconut milk... Delish!

I think I tried to do to much at once and none of my healthy habits such, so I am making a fresh start. I am back on SparkPeople.com with a new user name, new healthy goals and will be tracking my calories on this website. If you don't know about it you really need to check it out. It's free, and incredible. I will be blogging more as well and totally taking advantage of this fresh start. Anyone else out there with me?

  1. It is hard to stay on track. You just need to remember who you are doing it for and that YOU are totally worth it!!! This is the longest and hardest out family has been on track and when everyone is involved it is fantastic. Keep it up. Oh and I am slobbering over your VIta Mix!!
